According to multiple reports, Ethan Carter III, a.k.a. EC3, is now officially done with Impact Wrestling after the latest set of tapings for upcoming television episodes. PW Insider reports his contract wasn’t set to run out until the summer but he was granted an early release. According to the Wrestling Observer, his contract was up before the next set of tapings and it was known he wouldn’t be renewing so they wrote him off television. His exit will be resolved during the next round of TV Tapings that will play out on Pop TV over the next few weeks. EC III, whose real name is Michael Hutter, has been the crown jewel of TNA/Impact Wrestling since he was brought into the company as former TNA President Dixie Carter's kayfabe nephew in 2013. He had a long undefeated streak of over a year, winning the TNA World Title twice and the Impact Grand Championship once. He previously was in WWE Developmental for Florida Championship Wrestling and later in NXT. It is rumored that he's looking into a return to WWE at some point, although that has not been revealed as of yet.
