Has WWE Lost Faith in Baron Corbin? Baron Corbin became the third man in WWE history to unsuccessfully cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase, as he failed to successfully cash in on current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jinder Mahal. www.prowrestling.com/wwe-lost-faith-baron-corbin/credit: prowrestling.com

Here is a fundamental problem that the WWE has going forward. This decision to split the brands again left SmackDown with very few heels to build around. They brought Baron Corbin up from NXT to the main roster and he looked good enough. He won the Andre the Giant Battle Royale at WrestleMania last year. And he's been pushed ever since. He won the MITB ladder match this past June and was in a groove to win the WWE Championship. So what happened? IMHO, the fact that this company is trying to make a dent in the Indian market with Jinder Mahal as champion isn't changing anytime soon. So the company did the bait and switch, made Corbin cash in the contract and lose. And in the process made his character look like baffoon for being easily distracted and losing in less then 45 seconds. As you heard from the crowd, the fans popped loud when he cashed in. But then were very upset when he lost.
Does this remind you of what happened to Damien Sandow? Hmmmm......
