Well, for all the wrestling fans that were expecting a CM Punk repeat as PWI 500 #1, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. John Cena is the Pro Wrestling Illustrated top dog of the year, according to the Bible of Wrestling publications. Here they are in numerical order: 1) John Cena 2) CM Punk 3) Hiroshi Tanahashi 4) Bully Ray 5) Kazuchika Okada 6) Sheamus 7) Jeff Hardy 8) Alberto Del Rio 9) Dolph Ziggler 10) Kevin Steen John Cena is now the 1st 3-time PWI 500 number one in PWI history, breaking his tie with fellow 2-time winners Steve Austin, Bret Hart and Triple H. He had an impressive year. But I, personally, don't agree with him being #1. Punk still had a great year, even after losing the WWE Title. His match at WrestleMania is still match of the year material. And he was in the main event in almost every PPV until he lost the belt. Bully Ray was the MVP of TNA. He is the personification of what a heel is. The Aces and Eights gimmick was slow and plodding in some ways, but Bully refined his heel character and carried the company on his back. And now is deserving of his status as a 2 time TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Attachments:
